With more than 15 years of teaching experience, Michele first earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ashford University along with a PreK-3rd Grade licensure in the State of Ohio from Ashland University. Working with children from infancy through age 8, Michele previously taught as a Lead Teacher for older toddlers, Early Head Start Lead Teacher/Home Visitor, PreK and Kindergarten Teacher, Title 1 Reading Teacher and as a substitute in the Olentangy Local School district. In her free time, Michele is also an artist, author/illustrator of children’s books for charity and enjoys volunteer work including serving on many elementary school committees, as a Cub Scout Den Leader, and fundraising. Most recently, Michele volunteered for Heartland Hospice, visiting Alzheimer patients in a memory care facility. What she most enjoys about working with young children is helping them explore their world, learn from that exploration, and make meaningful relationships with teachers and peers. Working with children is her true passion and she is thankful for the opportunity to work at the A. Sophie Rogers School for Early Learning.
