Ready4Success

Ready4Success is a kindergarten readiness initiative that is facilitated by the Schoenbaum Family Center at The Ohio State University. The city of Columbus funds this initiative as part of their effort to build and expand high quality prekindergarten options for young children across the city. Ready4Success staff partner with center-based early education and childcare programs to assist them in achieving school readiness goals for the children they serve. Ready4Success uses a multifaceted approach to achieve this goal, including assessing the skills and knowledge of children have a prekindergarten entry, measuring gains in basic math and literacy skills throughout the year, and providing ongoing professional development opportunities for teachers participating in the initiative. Participants in Ready4Success receive professional development and instructional coaching focused on effective instructional strategies to increase early literacy and math skills in preschool age children at no cost.
