SFC offers FREE Health and Wellness clinics to SFC families and the Weinland Park Community. The clinics are supervised by Ohio State faculty and staffed by graduate students from the College of Education and Human Ecology and the Department of Speech and Hearing Science.
The following clinics are offered beginning in mid-September 2016
Speech and Language Clinic
Examples of services: evaluating a child’s speech and language skills, working with late-talking toddlers, treating communication delays.
Family and Parenting Clinic
Tuesdays 3:00 PM – 5:00 p.m.
Examples of services: dealing with difficult family members, interpersonal violence, challenges with parenting or co-parenting, stressful relationships, and mental health concerns
The Dental Clinic is offered to SFC enrolled families and includes wellness check-ups and yearly exams for children three and older.

Please expect a 30- to 45-minute appointment. A parent or caregiver must accompany children at the SFC Health and Wellness Clinics.
A CCCEC pre-K literacy intervention facilitated by graduate students and clinicians from Ohio State’s Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic is helping children whose families are below 125 percent of the poverty level. The results? Almost 90 percent of the pre-school students demonstrated higher literacy scores. Read about their results.
